Eric's Bio

Eric Nelson, one of the founding members of TMR, handles the lower registers of the audio spectrum.  He brings THE BASS!  And certainly knows how to live up to his nickname, “Earache”.

As a formally trained classical musician, he has played string bass in numerous philharmonic orchestras throughout California for many years.  But has also played with many bands ranging from bluegrass, jazz, rock to hardcore punk, and most everything in between. He’s pretty much covered it all.

After taking a number of years off away from music to serve in the Army, he is back to rockin’ in a big way!

“TMR is like no other group I have ever been involved with.  I am so fortunate to be sharing the stage with this level of talent.  The quality of sound that comes from our stage is undeniably massive.  What a blast!”

Eric gets his "LOW DOWN" from:

Primarily Fender and Ibanez Basses with the occasional Gibso and ESP thrown in for fun.  All basses are strung with DR strings on Hipshot hardware.  All coupled via Hypnotic styraps.

Signal goes through Line 6 wireless direct into "The Sterilizer" (Fender Pro Amplification, using SWR and Electro Voice drivers).

On the floor is a KMI 12 step controller triggering Korg Synthesizers.
